Resumo
Entre 2010 e 2025, a Turquia posicionou-se como um ator significativo na política regional e global. Eventos-chave, como os protestos do Parque Gezi, a Guerra Civil Síria, a tentativa de golpe de 15 de julho e as transformações nas estratégias de política externa, foram fundamentais na formação da imagem internacional da Turquia. Este estudo tem como objetivo examinar como a mídia internacional representa os desenvolvimentos da política interna e externa da Turquia e como essas representações influenciam as percepções globais. Com base no conceito de poder brando (soft power) de Joseph Nye, as iniciativas diplomáticas, os projetos culturais e as estratégias de gestão de crises da Turquia são avaliados como fatores críticos na formação de sua imagem internacional. As teorias de enquadramento da mídia e de definição de agenda fornecem uma estrutura analítica fundamental para compreender o papel da mídia nesse processo. A pesquisa analisa a cobertura noticiosa dos principais meios de comunicação em língua inglesa, francesa e alemã, por meio de análise de conteúdo e análise de enquadramento, a fim de explorar os temas dominantes que moldam a imagem internacional da Turquia, a evolução dessa imagem ao longo do período de 2010–2025 e se existem diferenças regionais entre os meios de comunicação em diferentes geografias. As principais limitações do estudo incluem a dependência de fontes digitais e acessíveis para a coleta de dados e as possíveis perdas de nuances culturais/linguísticas durante a tradução. No entanto, por meio de uma abordagem longitudinal e comparativa, este estudo busca oferecer uma contribuição original e abrangente à literatura sobre a imagem internacional da Turquia.
