Free of Charge Policy

Isagoge now adopts a free-of-charge policy for its entire publication system, that is, submission, evaluation, and publication of articles are free of any fees or charges.

Although access to open-access research is free to the reader/end-user at Isagoge, there are always costs at all stages of the publication process that burden its publisher, Telos Publications and Services Ltd.

This includes, but is not limited to, servers to run the peer review system (OJS), copywriting and typesetting, perpetual hosting of the article, plagiarism controls, in-house support professionals, DOI issuance. And finally marketing to increase the impact factors of the journal and the article.

For this reason, journals may adopt a charging model in the form of submission, evaluation, and/or article processing fees. The most common is the article processing fee (APC).

What is APC?

An article processing charge (APC) is a fee charged to make an article open access on publication and varies by journal policy.

The content is usually published under a Creative Commons (CC) license.

An APC will only be charged if the paper has undergone peer review and is ultimately accepted.

Why adopt a free-of-charge policy for Isagoge?

In our editorial vision, Isagoge needs to build the necessary and sufficient trust with the national and international academic community so that it can submit and publish its articles with us.

An editorial policy without expectation of financial return seeks to demonstrate our commitment above all to our authors and to the quality of what we publish each year.
