Repository policy

Digital preservation

The journal’s website provides archiving manifests that authorize harvesting by LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems. Providing these manifests does not, in itself, demonstrate that articles have been deposited in or are covered by these networks. The preservation service and the issues covered will be identified publicly after deposits have been confirmed.

Access and continuity

Digital preservation aims to support continuity of the scholarly record, including through archives independent of the journal’s platform. This objective does not guarantee the Publisher’s perpetual existence, uninterrupted hosting on the same domain, or permanent availability of third-party services. The Publisher will take reasonable measures to conserve and recover files under its management, in accordance with the preservation arrangements actually reported on this page.

If a planned closure of the journal or platform occurs, the Publisher will seek to transfer the archive to a preservation service or an institution able to receive it, and will announce the arrangements and destinations actually established. Acceptance by third parties is not guaranteed in advance. Migration or closure does not revoke the licence applied to articles or the rights to use lawfully obtained copies. Authors are also encouraged to retain their files and deposit articles in reliable repositories, in accordance with the self-archiving policy.

Metadata interoperability

The journal makes metadata available through the OAI-PMH protocol, allowing compatible services to harvest it. This supports interoperability and article discovery; it does not replace long-term preservation of the files.

Self-archiving

Authors may deposit versions of their work in an institutional repository or another repository of their choice. They must identify the deposited version and, when available, provide the reference and DOI or link to the publication in the journal. Copyright and conditions of use follow the copyright and licensing policy.
