This policy covers personal data on the website and in the editorial process of ISAGOGE - JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES (ISA), a journal published by Telos Publicações e Serviços Ltda., in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
Data and the editorial process
Processing must be limited to the data necessary for registration, communication, the editorial process, publication, website security and compliance with legal obligations. Access to data not intended for publication must be restricted to those who need them for their duties. Anonymity during review follows the peer review policy. Where consent is required, it must be specific, informed and revocable; merely browsing the website does not replace it.
Publication and third-party services
Names, affiliations, ORCID identifiers and other author details intended for publication form part of the article and its metadata, in accordance with the author guidelines and with the authors’ knowledge.
Articles and metadata intended for publication are publicly available and may be collected automatically by search engines, databases and other services, including through OJS URLs and interoperability interfaces. Third parties may retain and redistribute this information according to their own practices and the applicable legal and licensing conditions.
The journal does not control independent processing by third parties and cannot guarantee the updating or deletion of external copies, records or search results. Requests submitted to the journal will be assessed in relation to the data and services under its management. Processing by the journal and service providers acting on its behalf remains subject to applicable legal responsibilities.
Retention and protection
Data must be protected against unauthorised access and misuse and retained for the period necessary for the disclosed purposes, legal obligations and maintenance of the editorial and scholarly record. Requests for deletion do not automatically entail removal of articles or the scholarly record.
Rights and contact
Data subjects may request information about the processing and sharing of their data, access, correction and, where applicable, deletion or withdrawal of consent. Requests may be submitted through the Contact page, with identity verification where necessary.
Cookies and external links
Necessary cookies support functions such as sessions and security; blocking them may affect the system’s operation. Optional cookies must be disclosed with accessible choices and the ability to withdraw consent where required. External links lead to services with their own policies. Rules on advertising and affiliate links are set out in the Terms of Service.
